Sharing Christ at Christmas Time...what better present to give someone else?

Wednesday, December 19th the ORLC Youth will be going out into our neighborhoods to share Christ. We will be leaving the book, A Case for Christmas, by Lee Strobel as well as our church information. As we leave the book at the doorstep, we will pray for each family who lives there that God may guide them to our church and that they may come to know the One True God!

We meet at ORLC at 5:30 PM
Leave for 2-3 neighborhoods
Return to ORLC at 7 PM
Eat some soup, sandwiches and drink hot chocolate together
Prayer and Praise time together 7:30-8 PM

Close and head back home at 8 PM

I pray you can all join us. The youth are leaders in our church when it comes to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. YOU ROCK!

This will be the very best Christmas Gift you will give all season long!

Operation Care Dallas-Christmas for the Homeless

THIS IS THE WEEKEND!
An opportunity to show the compassion Christ taught and demonstrated throughout His ministry!
Thank you each for signing up to help.

This Saturday, all youth and adults going, will meet at ORLC at 12 NOON. We will immediately leave at 12 NOON and go to the Dallas Convention Center.

Everyone is asked to wear a RED shirt (of any kind) They do not make enough t-shirts for all their volunteers (so they do not get stuck paying for a bunch of shirts they do not use)
but there may be some...
If any shirts are available, they are $5 (xl large and bigger are $7)
So...please try to find a RED shirt to wear.

We are being asked to please help with the outdoor activities they plan each year for children. They will have pony rides and a petting zoo. As of last Sunday, no one had signed up to help, so the coordinators asked us to please be willing to help there. Kendra Wallace is the point person for the outdoor children's activities. Clovie Johnston is the only other volunteer who expressed an interest. She is from another local church. I pray you will all be blessed by this opportunity to help "the least of these."
PRAY FOR SUNNY SKIES AND WARM WEATHER!

PLEASE remember to bring used or even new coats and jackets.
PLEASE remember to bring a NEW blanket (can be purchased for $5 at Wal-Mart)
Bring comfortable shoes and be prepared to WORK...knowing you will make a lasting impression on those who need Jesus Christ this Christmas!
Don't forget that RED SHIRT.
Please
eat something before you arrive at ORLC.
For those who come hungry...Janet Curry said she would buy some cheeseburgers (thanks Janet)

PARKING is $8
OR
there are self parking lots where you fold dollars and slip them in the slot. (about $4)

We will STAY there until 3:45 PM and
return to ORLC by 4:15 PM
Why stay after it is over?
They are in desperate need of helpers to clean-up and tear down all the “stuff” for the event

Make Room for Him this Season

December....my favortite time of the year!!!
We celebrate Christmas, the Birthday of Jesus, as well as my birthday, December 10.

And then there is Christian's Birthday Dec. 11, and then Lisa's Birthday is Dec. 27 and then I have a nephew who has a birthday also on Dec. 10 and a niece who has a birthday also on Dec. 27 and then my in-laws, they celebrate their wedding anniversay on Dec. 25.

Basically, December is ONE CRAZY MONTH!

With everything that is going on...DON'T be that Inn-Keeper who turned away the Savior of the World. Make Room for Him this Season and all year long! Sing some Christmas Carols, Drink some Egg Nog, Decorate a Tree.
